This is a riot....and a new holloween movie tradition at our house....

The premise is you are watching a broken VHS movie, taped on another VHS, of a parody scary movie. -- Great film by some wonderful people. There are so many humorous spots in the movie. The one liners are perfect. I would love to tell you more, but, I wish to wait for others to watch it first without spoilers. Props, photography, lighting, editing, and acting, all of this was so much fun to watch. The amount of time and details spent on this parody are some of the same levels you see in such spots on Twilight Zone. It reminds me of early film graphics (when film makers were using chocolate syrup for blood) which gives it an authentic feel. I highly enjoyed watching from beginning to end.

I'm sorry but the casting and the acting sample didn't convinced me at all that it will be something more than an amateurish film (and it seems many others too). If you do continue with the production, please make sure that the actors' emotions are always aligned with the emotions required by each scene. Too many times I've seen "happy actors" in sad or serious scenes, sad or bored actors in happy or exciting scenes, unrelated face expressions etc. The actors should be pre-warmed to the required emotions before shooting. If they can't do it right, find those who can. Dramatic lighting is also a key factor. There should be no scenes without taking special care of the lighting and at the end don't omit to color grade the scenes to make them match and give the final touch of atmosphere. You can even use some trial software for the later.
